Hi there everybody, my name is Jackson.

I was surrendered to Dogtown because my family had to move and cold not take me with them.

When I arrived at the town of dogs, I was given a brand new shiny red collar. I learned later that my collar was code for “having difficulty to control my sharp end”. What can I say, if I don’t know a guy (or gal) I get a bit nervous and my sharp-end has always managed to get scary stuff to go away. I mean I did give a lot of warnings, I never really wanted to hurt anyone, but most people ignored my warnings and so I had to start talking a bit louder to protect myself.

To my surprise, I found that I was not the only one in this town with this little problem, there are many other dogs who are also busy learning that teeth do not always have to come out, and that a growl or a yawn will do the trick. It’s almost like the Dogtown people speak Dog! What a relief!

I know I can’t go to a forever home yet, but that’s OK because this town for dogs is the next best thing! Plus, the trainers and behaviourists here are working with me everyday to help me become the dog I know I can be. I really enjoy the training and I love going out for my daily walks and hikes, there is so much to see around here!
