Senior Caregiver

Danielle

Hi, my name is Danielle. I studied for two years in nature conservation and hospitality. I have wanted to work with animals since I was a little girl, and now I am a caregiver at Dogtown SA, and I enjoy my job.

To be a caregiver, you need to be physically fit and emotionally strong. What we do at Dogtown SA is walk with them, do dipping, feed, train, and play games with the dog. The best part is spending more time with the dog than with people. They become your best friends at the end of the day, you can tell them secrets, sing to them, laugh at them, and they won’t judge you.

The fun part of working with dogs is you can build a good relationship with each dog and get to know each one’s behaviour. It is nice to see how you can change a dog’s life from being hurt, timid or reactive; you make them believe in a second chance in life. It does matter in which mood you are. They will always be happy to see.

Thanks, everyone, for reading this. Hope we will see you soon to come and visit our babies.
