A little bit about BarkingMad
BarkingMad is not an actual shelter, it is a networking website only, helping shelters and the public to responsibly rehome the animals in their care around South Africa. The animals featured on the website are in various locations around the country. Please contact the details provided with each profile for more information.
Unless the animal’s profile has DogtownSA as the contact details, those animal’s are not at our rehabilitation centre.
Using this website we aim to:
- Provide a central point for the shelters and the public to find homes for abandoned pets,
- Reunite lost and found pets with their families,
- Help raise funds to feed the shelter dogs through our click to feed project. Advertisers on the website fund the feeding project while advertising their product to thousands a day,
- Provide free advice on how to take care of your pet,
- Assist the less fortunate to take care of their animals through our outreach programme,
- Provide advice and behaviour consultations, using positive training methods to help people keep their pets,
- Facilitate access to the very best doggie groomers, trainers, therapists and vets,
- Provide only the most current information pertaining to dog related events in South Africa,
- Keep you up to date on important outreach programs and fundraising events for shelters across South Africa.
